Crypto is high risk. You can lose everything you put in. Nothing here is financial advice.

About Coinbench

A crypto education site for Australians and New Zealanders, built on a simple observation: almost everything written about crypto is either hype from people selling something they will not disclose, or jargon from people writing for other experts. Both sides of the Tasman deserved a site that just explains it straight.

What we do

We explain how crypto trading works from an Australian and New Zealand starting point: the AUD and NZD on-ramps that actually exist, the fees people here really pay, the platforms worth considering (and the regulatory warnings attached to some of them), and the security habits that keep your coins yours. Education first, everything in plain English, and the risks stated on every single page rather than buried in a footer.

How we make money, exactly

Affiliate commissions, disclosed every time. When you open an account with an exchange through one of our links, currently MEXC is our only affiliate partner, the exchange pays us a share of its trading fee revenue. You pay nothing extra, and via our link you get a 20% fee rebate you would not get going direct.

What that money does not buy: our opinion. The MEXC review lists the cons prominently, including its listing on ASIC's Moneysmart investor alert list in Australia; the comparison pages tell you when a competitor is the better fit for your situation; and every mention of platforms we have no deal with says so. If we ever add affiliate partners, the disclosure on each page will name them.

How we rate exchanges

Five factors, weighted for real Australian and NZ use: true all-in cost per trade, AUD/NZD accessibility, coin range and liquidity, regulatory standing and transparency, and day-to-day usability. Method details are on the Australian and NZ comparison pages.

What we are not

We are not a financial adviser, broker, exchange or custodian, and nothing here is financial advice or a recommendation tailored to you. We do not know your situation. Crypto is high risk: never put in money you cannot afford to lose, and consider talking to a licensed financial adviser.
